President Museveni met with Miss World Africa Quiin Abenakyo at State House Entebbe shortly after her arrival from China.
Ms Abenakyo, who was crowned Miss World Africa at the 2018 Miss World finale in China on December 8, returned home yesterday.

Shortly after the meeting which was also attended by State Health minister Sarah Opendi, State minister for Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda, Tourism minister Ephraim Kamuntu and former Lands minister Daudi Migereko, among other government officials, Mr Museveni lauded the Miss Uganda’s parents for raising her with values.
According to the President, many young people today rush into promiscuity and ruin their lives, yet a little patience and completing school would give them a foundation on which to enjoy the rest of their lives with their spouses.

“Abenakyo is indeed a tall, beautiful Musoga girl. My only concern is that she was wearing Indian hair. I have encouraged her to keep her natural, African hair. We must show African beauty in its natural form. Again, I congratulate Muzukulu Abenakyo on this feat. Going forward, the government will support the Miss Uganda Foundation,” Mr Museveni said in a statement shared on his social media platforms.

During the meeting, Mr Museveni said Ms Abenakyo told him she is an advocate of responsible living among young people.
“She is specifically focusing on helping young girls lead responsible, healthy lifestyles,” the president said.
