Struggling TV veteran Straka Mwezi seems to have finally seen the end of her grassing days. As we write this, the former host of the Late Nite Show on the defunct WBS TV is now smiling ear to ear. After facing a series of problems that included being paid peanuts, numerous suspensions from her workplace, accusations of obtaining money for no services by upcoming artistes, in addition to the various evictions by her landlords, God seems to have finally answered Straka’s prayers.
We hear the multicolour-haired jolly Straka, real name Pamela Atim, has landed herself a gig at Maganjo-based HG TV. Well, yes it is a little-known new entrant on the TV scene, but like they say, half a loaf is better than none. At HGTV, Straka will be presenting a music programme titled Top Flavour. Straka was a hit in her TV days and won a couple of awards, and it was a shock to see her career hit rock bottom. So you will understand when we say we are happy for her.
