Cindy sympathizes with Dax Vibez

Ugandan dancehall queen Cindy Sanyu has extended a message of sympathy to fellow artiste Dax Vibez, whose much-anticipated concert at Hotel Africana was abruptly cancelled, dealing a heavy blow to the budding musician’s morale and finances.

Dax Vibez, who is also the younger brother of National Unity Platform leader Bobi Wine, had spent months preparing for his maiden headlining show, slated for August 29. However, he revealed over the weekend that the venue had called off the event without providing any clear explanation.

“After 9 months of advertising and financing, Hotel Africana has cancelled my concert. I don’t know what to do next,” the visibly devastated singer posted on his social media platforms.

The cancellation came as a shock to many, especially considering the time and resources Dax Vibez had invested into the event. But rather than throw in the towel, the singer has quickly regrouped and announced that the concert will go on—at a new venue and with a refreshed theme.

The show has now been moved to UMA Show Grounds in Lugogo, and rebranded as an All White Party, while maintaining the original date of August 29.

Despite the last-minute changes, Vibez remains hopeful and determined to give his fans the experience they’ve been waiting for.

Meanwhile, Cindy, who is also set to perform on the same weekend at Millenium Park Lugogo, showed no signs of rivalry. As President of the Uganda Musicians Association, she offered heartfelt words of encouragement to the young star.

“Why did they cancel it? That’s sad. I feel for him after all the effort he had put in. That’s terrible,” she said in an interview. “I send my heartfelt words to him—so sorry to him and his team.”

Cindy emphasized how emotionally and financially draining such a last-minute cancellation can be, especially for an artist investing in their first major showcase.

“This is someone who had put his heart, time, and money into creating a memorable experience for his fans,” Cindy added. “It’s a blow to the entire creative community when such things happen without explanation.”

As fans rally behind Dax Vibez and prepare for the new All White Party experience at UMA Show Grounds, many are hailing his resilience and urging him to push forward.
