Thrones Lounge in Kampala was transformed into a colourful canvas of creativity over the weekend as Singleton’s Big Meeting returned with a fresh twist — a “Paint and Sip” experience infused with R&B rhythms and artistic flair.
The themed night welcomed over a dozen art-enthusiasts, partygoers, and Singleton lovers into a vibrant space where canvases, cocktails, and music flowed in equal measure. With the lounge specially partitioned for the occasion, guests took up paintbrushes in a guided session led by renowned Ugandan visual artist Warren Daktal.
Daktal walked participants — around 15 in total — through a relaxed, step-by-step painting experience. The atmosphere was unhurried and light-hearted, with no pressure for perfection. Laughter echoed as some struggled to balance brushstrokes with wine glasses, while others quietly immersed themselves in the soothing rhythm of creativity.
Among them, one guest stood out: Tasha, identified only by her first name, was declared the winner of the evening’s painting challenge. Her reward? A celebratory bottle of Singleton — a fitting prize that captured the night’s fusion of indulgence and expression.
The event quickly evolved into a celebration of community and joy, with spontaneous conversations, cheerful encouragement, and shared jokes shaping the experience. At the heart of the good vibes was media personality Lynda Ddane, dubbed the “Queen of Happiness,” who arrived in a striking Cinderella-style gown and infused the evening with infectious energy.
As the painting session wound down, the party seamlessly shifted gears. The DJ lineup — featuring DJ Jerry, Kasbaby, DJ Sesse, Sir Aludah, Dash, Em That Guy, and Esau — kept guests on their feet with a curated R&B mix that stretched well into the evening.
Singleton’s Big Meeting continues to evolve beyond just a themed party. With elements of art, music, and social connection, this latest edition offered more than just entertainment — it created a platform for creativity, self-expression, and shared moments.
In a city known for its eclectic nightlife, the event stood out for its intimate blend of style and soul, leaving guests with memories as vibrant as the paintings they carried home.
