What do you do?
I own Smoky Graphix.

What did you study?
Graphics and Editing at MacMain School of Computing about three years ago and I am not regretting it. I use my brain because I am ina profession where imagination is required at it’s best. I have an advanced diploma.

Who is competition?
The people around me, changes in the society, I have a feeling that I am always competing with somebody out there that is better than me, so I have to always do something that is unique. I find myself creating ideas out of thin air. The competition is real tense but at the end of the day we look at the techniques, creativity, uniqueness and the feeling of the whole finished work. I don’t sleep, I am always online linking up with graphic artistes in Uganda and abroad.

Who is your ideal client?
I work with everyone, from night spots to ICT companies. Some of my clients include Asylum Bar, Virgin Island. Shooters, Amigos, Nasr ICT Solutions and many others. I market my work mostly through Facebook. That has helped me ink deals in other countries like Kenya, Rwanda, UK and Canada.

How much do you get per piece?
I charge according to what a client wants…posters with HD and 3D artwork go for not less than 100k and those without 3D go for no less than 50k. Simple logos go for no less than 100k, depending on what the client wants to achieve.

What inspires the graphic artist in you?
I believe every artist clips his brush in his own soul and paints his own nature into his pictures.
