Julius Ssenkandwa
“Julius Ssenkandwa, NTV News!” says the popular NTV news reporter whenever he is signing out on a story. But that might change in 2016! We had a chat with the reporter who revealed that he is eyeing the Busiro North parliamentary seat come 2016.
The seat is currently occupied by former VP, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya aka Mahogany! On whether Ssenkandwa will be able to unseat the Mahogany, the news reporter told us he will give it his best shot. “I’m sure the seat is no longer a big deal to the Mahogany. He lost interest, you have seen him sleep in Parliament, I’m here and very willing to represent my people,” Ssenkandwa told us.
Although he was tightlipped about under which political party he will vie for the seat, close allies told us that Ssenkandwa sympathises with FDC and that he is likely to stand on the FDC ticket!
