For all the years he has been doing comedy he had never been nominated for an international award. All he has been receiving are Ugandan nominations in various awards some of which he won and lost others. But on Thursday comedian Salvado Idringi received his first international nomination and it doesn’t come better than the Savanna Comic’s Choice Awards.
Salvado received a nod in the Savanna Pan African comic of the year but it won’t come easy as Uganda’s best comedian will battle it out with his mentor Basket Mouth from Nigeria, Carl Joshua Ncube (Zimbabwe), Masopo (South Africa) and Fernando Tafish (Namibia).
“The look you have when you get your first international award Nomination,” Salvado posted on his Facebook wall after receiving the nod.
But unfortunately, Salvado’s category is not for public vote as other comedians are the ones who determine who the winner is.
