Singer Nubian Lee has been arrested ahead of the return of his close friend and associate Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
Nubian Lee announced the arrest on his social media platforms on Thursday morning.
“The Army and police have arrested me, Sir Dan magic and other three colleagues on our way to Entebbe Airport and decide to detain us at Entebbe police station.What kind of home is this really ?? #thisimpunitymuststop but all in all #people_power_our power,” Nubian Lee posted.
Bobi Wine is expected to land at Entebbe Airport in the afternoon.
There is heavy deployment of security personnel from both Police and UPDF along Entebbe road as well as at the airport and people who are not intending to travel have been denied access inside the airport.
Journalists too have been asked for accreditation from Civil Aviation Authority and those without it have been chased away from the airport checkpoint.
