Jamaica’s Morgan Heritage band release song in honour of Bobi Wine

Morgan Heritage, a Jamaican reggae band has released a new song in honour of Ugandan Member of Parliament Bobi Wine.

Bobi Wine (real name Robert Kyagulanyi) recently won international fame after he was arrested and allegedly tortured by the Ugandan Government. He is currently facing treason charges after government reported that his supporters stoned President Museveni’s convoy during the Arua by-election fracas.

A singer himself, Bobi Wine was honoured by Morgan Heritage in the tune dubbed ‘Be Free’ and was revealed in a tweet on their handle that they captioned “The journey has just begun!”

The song by the Grammy Award winning group has already garnered favourable views with most viewers praising their bold step to stand with the Kyadondo East MP.
