Remember the 50-Kanye album battle in 2007, when two big American rappers Kanye West and 50 Cent both decided to drop their third all-important albums on the same day- 9-11?

Well, it’s like 50 Cent is always on the lookout for what Kanye West is up to. Hardly a week after Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian left Uganda, news through the grapevine is that Curtis James Jackson aka 50 Cent will be in the country soon.

Although we cannot confirm the news, the person spreading it is tourism investor Amos Wekesa. For someone who is all informed about the tourism industry, we are rather inclined to believe the rumour.

“So what songs did 2 cents sing? He is coming to Uganda and I need to know just one song he sang before arrives,” Wekesa said in a post on his Facebook page today morning.

Since most people do not know 2Cents, the metal band from Malibu, California, they thought he was referring to 50 Cent.

On contacting Wekesa, he confirmed to us that he was referring to 50 Cent.

“I was also informed by Asan Kasingye of Police,” he said.

Wekesa later wrote another post clarifying that he meant 50 Cent, and not 2Cents.

“Thank you guys for educating me about 50 cent… he is coming to Uganda unless something drastic happens. I can’t know about wildlife and musicians at the same time and besides, why would someone call themselves 50 cent.

Bambi don’t argue with me, just stake your money!!!! For those that laughed at me, expect invoices in your inboxes,” the post reads.

Let’s just wait for the surprise.
