Last Sunday, musician Moses Ssali popularly known as Bebe Cool wrote on his Facebook wall literally begging American rapper Kanye West, who is currently in Uganda for a video recording of new album, for a collabo.

Little did the 41-year-old top Ugandan reggae and ragga musician know that his words would perhaps have an impact on the 41-year-old internationally acclaimed rapper.

While visiting Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO)  Children’s Village in Masulita, Wakiso District on Tuesday, West said he would work local musicians to help promote Uganda’s industry.

“Uganda is a very beautiful country and we shall be back soon. We shall work with Uganda musicians to promote their music,” said who was accompanied by his wife, reality TV star Kim Kardashian, State Minister for Tourism, Godfrey Kiwanda, minister of Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, Eng. Hillary Onek and other government officials.

He also offered to help the orphans at the children’s village before donating several pairs of sneakers and T-shirts to them.

“We shall back to work with Uweso Children’s village to make sure the children get a better life,” he added.

West and his wife were flown by military chopper from Chobe Safari Lodge in Murchison Falls national park, where they are staying, to the children’s village in Wakiso District.
