Daily Monitor’s Esther Oluka and Gloria Haguma have received nominations in the annual Abryans Style and Fashion awards.

The journalists were both nominated in the fashion writer of the year category and will be tussling it out with Nasif Nyiiro Nkoobe, Edward Nimusiima and Siima Sabiti.

Gloria Haguma who contributes mainly to Sqoop magazine has been a recipient of this award before while Esther Oluka who writes for Full Woman has not won it before.

The Abryans style and fashion awards slated for December 7th at Kampala Serena Hotel celebrates and acknowledges stake holders in the fashion industry i.e. designers, stylists, hair and makeup artists, media personalities and influencers on the African Continent and beyond boarders.

The event, which started in 2013, is an evening of Glitz and Glamour and arguably the biggest red carpet in Africa. It is a true celebration of fashion and style, with A-List guests from across the continent.
