On quite a number of occasions, Joseph Sax has stolen headlines on most events he has performed on including Ykee Benda’s just-concluded show at Serena Hotel. His combination with Michael Ouma is simply awesome and perhaps his display and articulation have enabled him receive his first ever nomination abroad.
Joseph Sax has received a nomination in the International Reggea and World Music Awards (IRAWMAs) slated to take place on the 11th of May at the Pegasus Hotel in Kingston Jamaica.
He will be facing stiff competition from celebrated saxophonist Dean Fraser and Sly as well as Robbie which is a Jamaican rhythm section and production duo in the ‘Best Instrumentalist category.
The 37th edition nominees were recently released a few days ago and these are the same awards that Eddy Kenzo was able to win the category of Best African Entertainer last year.
