VIDEO: Chronixx releases ‘Jah is There’ video shot in Kampala

Chronixx

He was in Kampala last month and oh boy, Chronixx did rock. It now turns out that the reggae artiste wasn’t in Kampala to rock, but he wanted to keep memories too.

During his set, he had a number of people shooting footage and it turns out some of this was actually for this specific video. But that’s not all, he had other scenes shot in areas not easy to identify but the surroundings with wall papers of local brands easily suggest they too were in Kampala.

Other parts of the video are in markets, the Ggaba landing site, one of the slums across the railway and a slum. This song comes off the deluxe edition of Chronixx’s seminal project Dread & Terrible (via Soul Circle/Seed Distribution), marking its 5th year anniversary.

Chronnix’s June 29 was the second one he was staging in Uganda after putting up a splendid show back in 2016. Jar McNaugton alias Chronixx was born to be on stage. Born to a little known Jamaican artiste Selvin McNaughton alias Chronicle, it is said that at 5 years, he had written Rice Grain, his first song.
