Faith Yeko
Uganda has had representatives in several beauty pageants but never have we been represented in the classic queen international beauty pageant, until Faith Yeko from Sebei region ended that.
The beauty queen, who is also a radio presenter, will be participating in the annual celebration of feminism in this pageant after being voted the best from Uganda.
Yeko says after participating in Miss eco-tourism Uganda and failing, she had given up on pageants until a friend encouraged her to audition.
“I auditioned in April this year and in June, they started voting and surprisingly I emerged the winner from Uganda and I am hopeful I am bringing the crown home,” said the 24-year-old.
Before the pageant, Yeko will go to Nigeria for a reality TV show at the end of this month.
