MC Kats
A few years ago, events host and TV presenter Edwin Katamba, popularly known as MC Kats, publicly declared his HIV status. This ended the public rumour that had existed for more than 10 years. Recently, however, Kats made another revelation that he found out about his status through his mother who lives in the UK.
“People used to inform her that I was always sick, looking bad and so on. I think she sensed, so she set me up to meet a certain doctor. I had initially thought I was going to treat malaria but the doctor sent her the results and she was the one who told me I was positive,” Kats said during an interview on the Richard Musoni show.
He added that his mother called and told him to start medication because she could not afford to lose him.
