Apass hits at artistes that use streaming farms

Musician Alexander Bagonza alias Apass has asked fellow artistes to stop streaming farms else their careers will collapse.

Lately, musicians are focused on having bigger followings and are bragging about views instead of producing timely music.

“Ugandan artistes please stop buying followers and likes plus views on Youtube, you are only fooling yourself. And I am not saying all of you. Real is better than fake. Gold is better than bronze,” he said on his social media.

Socialite Sheila Gashumba echoed Apass by confirming that some people are stream-farming views on YouTube.

While many are wondering who the culprits could be, tweeps allege Spice Diana, Eddy Kenzo, and Alien Skin.

What are streaming farms?

Streaming farms are services designed to inflate streams or add a lot of fake listens to a song. By taking advantage of the business model of streaming platforms like Spotify, they massively increase the number of listeners and in turn raise the hype surrounding the artiste.
