A video clip emerged with vlogger Tamale Mirundi Jnr in an altercation with traffic officers a few days ago.
In the video, Tamale Mirundi’s son was seen warning the traffic officers for falsely arresting him but we couldn’t establish what caused this until recently when the police explained this arrest.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango, Tamale Jr was arrested for insulting and disrespecting traffic officers as they were on duty.
Onyango said that the fracas started when the Police officers intercepted Tamale Jr’s journey to check and verify if he possessed driving documents, only to find that he had not cleared a number of tickets.
“He didn’t a driving license by the time he was arrested and the car had many unpaid tickets. On talking to him, he disrespected the officers,” he said.
However, Tamale Jr was later released after an undisclosed person in government intervened.
