Biswanka
Biswanka is a breakaway artiste from Alien Skin’s Fangone forest. If there is one reason to watch this music video, it is for him. He got it in him, the ability to morph into a star. Even on a low-budget shoot such as this one, his persona comes through, it is not pressed down. It is the thing that is in the DNA of every star.
But away from Biswanka the person, this video is as forgettable as yesterday. It is your usual format of love music videos in Uganda. A scene in the bedroom, a distant admiration from outside, a dinner-setting and some wine glasses, and that is all.
Throw in some minimal dance choreography and the video is done. But is it to say that a low budget takes creativity with it? Or we have decided to use it as a crutch? ‘Want You’ is not the kind of video you will really want, it is as regular as they come!
