Vampino, Irene Namubiru and Beenie Gunter have a lot in common but one thing stands out. They have all been arrested in the diaspora. What starts as a joke ends up with the Ugandan government negotiating with the foreign countries that they were arrested in, at least for Vampino and Namubiru. But will the case be the same for Beenie Gunter who is being detained at the CID headquarters in Abu Dhabi?
The Sekkle Down artiste was arrested a few days ago and just when he thought he was released and returning to Uganda, he was denied that chance because his case was not closed. Gunter was arrested last week on charges of assault but according to witnesses, he was trying to calm the promoters who were fighting.
If there is no intervention, Beenie Gunter might be transferred to prison according to information coming in from Abu Dhabi.
