While some insist on receiving transport money before meeting a man for a date, Warafiki offers a different perspective, acknowledging the role money plays in relationships but exploring it more deeply in their latest track.

In their new song, “No Money No Love”, Warafiki delves into the contemporary dynamics of love and financial expectations. The girls sing about how the absence of money often translates to the absence of love, reflecting a pragmatic view of modern relationships. They highlight how today’s women are savvy and financially conscious, requiring money both at home and on dates. One notable lyric mentions that girls will go to great lengths to secure money in relationships, including dressing in the best and most expensive clothes to attract a particular type of man who can offer both love and financial security.

The song, written by Nandor Love, a renowned dancehall singer and songwriter signed to Team No Sleep, brings together a talented production team. Meshpan, Joel Keyz, and Steve Jean collaborated on the production at Fenon Records studio, ensuring a polished and captivating sound.

Warafiki, a girl group comprising Tori (Victoria Mbabazi), Eyla (Damalie Nalugwa), and Treezy (Patricia Debra Nakalembe), has quickly made a name for themselves in the Ugandan music scene. Signed by Fenon Records, a prominent record label known for working with many Ugandan artists, Warafiki has already released three popular songs. Besides “No Money No Love,” they have captivated audiences with “Tetubafanana” and “Bwekati”.

Fenon Records recently unveiled Warafiki, showcasing their unique blend of talent and charisma. The group’s fresh sound and relatable lyrics have resonated with fans, making them a rising force in the music industry.

“No Money No Love” not only offers a catchy tune but also provides a social commentary on the intersection of love and financial stability. Warafiki’s insightful take on the topic invites listeners to reflect on their own views and experiences, making the song both entertaining and thought-provoking. As they continue to rise in popularity, Warafiki’s music promises to keep shedding light on the realities of modern relationships, one hit song at a time.
