Last year, singer Ava Peace handed over the Zzina award Female Artiste of the Year award to Vinka in a category that she was also nominated. This might have been motivation enough to push her to not only win this year’s same category but also take three others in the highly competitive awards.

Ava Peace, who has had a tremendous year with songs such as Muziki, Bamutwala, Kawala Ka Amooti and Taabu among others also took the Best Collaboration and Best Contemporary Urban song for Taabu as well as Artiste of the Year, which was the biggest.

“I was not expecting this. Too much love. I believe I have worked for this. Last time I was giving out the Best Female artiste of the Year award and did not win any award and today I am taking the female Artiste and Artiste of the Year. Isn’t that exciting?” Ava Peace said in her acceptance speech.
