Comedian Timothy J. Nyanzi is set to open up the first ever fully operational comedy club in Kampala called Laughing Maraboustork sometime next month. He will be working together with queen of comedy Cotilda Inapo, Hilary Okello and Okello Okello, among others.
“The Laughing Maraboustork will be a breath of fresh air on Uganda’s comedy scene and is set to rejuvenate the glory of quality comedy which has been swept under the carpet in recent times,” said an excited Nyanzi.
The comedy club will run up to three shows every week. One day will be dedicated to comedians doing bits about what has happened in the week, the other day will have different themed shows and the week will be capped off by a headline show that will feature a top comedian and support acts.
