Cindy Sanyu
In 2008, Cindy was unexpectedly kicked out of the popular girl trio Blu3, just as the group had solidified its position as a dominant force in the East African entertainment scene.
At the time, many believed this marked the end of her career. However, ironically, it became the catalyst for a new phase in her life; one that earned her the tittle “King Herself.” During an episode of Tusker Malt Conversessions featuring Blu3, Cindy was asked if she regretted leaving the group.
Her response was insightful: “Everything that has happened has led us to where we are now, and somehow, it’s all worth it.
If I had not left Blu3, this part of me would never have come out. Blu3 had its own style, and I had to find my own. Growing into who I am today, and honing my craft, would not have been possible.”
