The reason Bebe Cool battled Bobi Wine

Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool

In 2012, Uganda witnessed one of the most intense music battles in its entertainment history; a showdown between Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds. Despite the rivalry and the significant investment in the event, Bebe Cool recently revealed the true reason behind his decision to take on Bobi Wine in the battle.

Bebe Cool explained, “What really pushed me to set up that battle was the way Bobi Wine treated Chameleone. He set up a small battle at Kati Kati and made Chameleone kneel down.

I was deeply hurt by that because, at the time, Chameleone was not heavily involved in music politics and genuinely wanted to end their beef by kneeling. That is when I decided to challenge Bobi Wine.”

The Motivation artiste also shared his confidence in winning the battle, saying, “I knew I would beat Bobi Wine easily. I compared his songs to mine, and he could not even reach half of what I had.”
