King Saha meets a cold crowd at FUBA Women’s tournament

King Saha is no stranger to packed venues, chart-topping hits, and an electrified fan base. With a catalog that includes crowd favorites like Ebiseera, Biri Biri, and Gundeze, he has rightfully earned his place among the biggest artistes of his generation. But not every stage is the same—and not every crowd, forgiving.

Over the weekend, Saha experienced an unexpected low during his performance at the FUBA All-Star Women’s Basketball Tournament held at Lugogo Indoor Arena. Walking onto the court with his usual confidence and star power, the singer was clearly expecting a warm reception. Instead, he was met with an indifferent audience that just didn’t seem moved by the music.

Despite delivering some of his best-known songs, the atmosphere remained flat. Fans, more tuned into the basketball than the beats, stayed in their seats—unbothered and unimpressed. A visibly frustrated Saha paused mid-performance and asked, “I am singing and you are all seated like bosses?” before walking off the court.

It was an unusual sight for an artist of his stature, reminding everyone that even the biggest stars can sometimes miss the mark—especially when the crowd isn’t there for the music.
