Singer Umar Mukose known in the music as Prince Omar is one of the fast rising artistes thanks to his financial muscle. Unlike other artistes who have struggled to make it to the top even without financial resources, Prince Omar is not in that pool.

The singer who returned from Canada where he has been doing his music among any other business has so far recorded songs like ‘Sing For me’ Featuring Lydia Jazmine, ‘Kyoyoya’ featuring John Blaq and Daddy Andre, ‘Gyongenda’, ‘Halleluja’ and ‘Luwombo’ among others. These songs have quickly added him on the list of Ugandan artistes that need no 5 minute introduction.

Last night, the singer premiered the video of his new song titled ‘Timaya’. Artistes have premiered videos but Prince Omar’s premiere was one of a kind. The ‘Timaya’ video premiere that was held at La paronis, a new hangout and new place for local video premieres had everyone taking any drink of their choice, hard, soft and bites on the house courtesy of Omar’s wallet.

He arrived at the venue few minutes to midnight. No one knew how he had planned to show up at the premiere until he arrived at the venue dressed like an Egyptian Prince despite being called a Busoga Prince.

He had an entourage of people moving on Bikes, Range Rovers and a Vintage car in which he came in. He made his way to the reserved table accompanied by muscled men dressed like Royal Guards and Varlets who were seductively dressed. The mood was Royal with the ‘guards’ moving around to make sure the Prince was safe.

He later performed some of his songs after the ‘Timaya’ video was shown on the big screens.
