Weasel got the crowd on their feet
Ever since the demise of his good friend turned brother Mowzey Radio, so many people thought Weasel’s career had ended because of the propaganda that Radio was the brain, heart and spinal code of Goodlyf.
Weasel is however proving them wrong as he steals the show everywhere he performs. A few months back during the roast and rhyme event where Chameleone was the headlining act, Weasel from nowhere came to the stage and ended up getting more reactions from the crowd than Chameleone when the latter asked who the legend is between them.
On Friday evening at hockey grounds Lugogo during the Alikiba concert, Weasel besides Alikiba managed to at least make the whole crowd stand up and sing to the Goodlyf jams when he came to the stage. He was also able to sing more than six songs as compared to other supporting artistes. “We want more”, the crowd said when they saw him leaving. In fact it was the unstable microphone that forced him to abandon the stage.
Organised under Nexus events who did an amazing job with the stage and sound and sponsored by Tusker Lite, the event did not fall short of the party flavour as it was clear that party animals had brought along the right dose of excitement to the venue.
Despite the fair turn-up, the party vibes first had performances from Isaac Rucci, Kent and Flosso, Levixone, Daddy Andre, John Blaq and Sheebah Karungi.
For the headlining act Ali Kiba, he took his fans to an exciting show-stopping performance as they turned up to revel to the melodic tunes of the Swahili artist who closed off the concert in style.
Taking to the stage at 11.30pm, many thought the Tanzanian sensation was only going to perform for 30minutes because of the midnight deadline, he surprised us when he was on stage for an hour, doing songs such as ‘Aje’, ‘Mwana’, ‘Cinderalla’, and ‘Chekecha’ among others wiggling his waist in the process. Before doing his last song, Alikiba took off his shirt to the excitement of the females in the audience.
