He might be an outcast at Wasafi Records, but in Uganda, Harmonize is a darling.

The Bongo Flava artiste witnessed this on Saturday while headlining the Uno Audio release party at Club Guvnor.

Although Harmonize, real name Rajab Abdul Kahali, turned up at about 2am, his performance was worth the wait for the crowd who braved the cold night to see him perform for the first time in Uganda.

The last time the Tanzanian artiste was in Uganda was to shoot a video of his collaboration with Sheebah.

Before his performance, Harmonize’s official DJ known as 7, took to the decks but he did not impress much. Not with Selector Jay and DJ Brian as the competition.

Although his first take on the mic was a little disappointing for his very anticipating audience, Harmonize later picked up pace following Eddy Kenzo’s encouraging words.

“Uganda loves you. Show them what you are capable of. Sing for them more songs,” Kenzo pestered.

It was at this moment that the Kwa Ngwaru singer brought out his gold and gave Ugandans a memorable performance, doing Kwa Ngwaru, Niteke, Kainama, Aiyola, and many more. Kenzo then joined him and together they did Pull Up and Inabana.

The two were full of praises for each other as Harmonize also returned the favour by calling Kenzo the King of East Africa.

What the Tanzanian star will not forget though, is the mysterious lady from the audience who got on stage and tipped him 50k notes, complete with dubs.
