Keeping up with trends

Out at events. With the economy fully open, it means everything is back to normal for everyone, even the entertainment sector that has been under lockdown for two years. Events are back and happening like never before. Last weekend, Roast and Rhyme hosted its 17th edition at Jahazi pier Munyonyo and the city’s who’s who turned up. Isaac Ssejjombwe brings you the fashion hits and misses of the day.

Ziza Bafana

Musician Ziza Vafana.

This was the reggae ragga edition and to blend in, artiste Ziza Bafana who was the headlining act came dressed in the green safari jacket with matching trousers. The beret gave him a pop of colour.

Shirtless man
Last Sunday was one of those hot days that being shirtless was a good option. We are not certain whether this dude came without a shirt or he chose to put it off at the venue but he spent the entire day shirtless.

Probably to show off his chiseled torso. He could get away with it because of his physique.

Andrew Kyamagero
The NTV news anchor is an okay guy when it comes to fashion and being okay was his approach to the event. He simply settled for a maroon polo neck sweater which he teamed up with, blue faded tight denims.

NTV Uganda journalist, Andrew kyamagero (C).

The African finish to his mocassins and matching neck accessory did not disappoint.

Allan Kiwa
Brother to artiste manager Jeff Kiwa, Allan Kiwa didn’t impress us that much with his long sleeved black T-shirt, white linen shorts and sneakers.

He looks lost but we like his sunglasses and neckchain!

Kenneth Mugabi

Mugabi turned up in casual smart outfit. His khaki jacket and white shirt with grey chino pants could pass for formal event vibes but , his sneakers kept it dressed down. Did he not feel the heat of the day in that jacket?

Bebe Cool
A white t-shirt with dotted maroon shorts is all Bebe Cool opted for to attend the event.

He summed it all up with his trademark Silent Majority cap.

The yellow or mustard man
Yellow and related shades has been politicised in 256 area code. However, this man turned heads with his jumpsuit-like outfit.

The beads around his neck and manbag helped neutralise the yellow.

The best…

We don’t know his name but this guy was one of the best dressed at the event. His fitting floral shirt paired with white shorts and sneakers gave his look a Carribean feel. His outfit stood out.
