I refused to use drugs – King Saha

King Saha also impressed during his performance

King Saha

King Saha is one artiste whose unique vocal ability not only melts hearts with love songs but also offers food-for-thought music that rails off the usual narrative, to boldly speak and sing into the minds of the powers that be. His political songs hold no prisoners. Tonight, the singer will be live in concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval, a fete at which he celebrates a decade or so of doing music. In person, he is as real as his music conveys but also jolly and hilarious.

Why is this concert important to you?

Every moment in life is important, particularly the moment you are currently experiencing, so this is the concert we have now and it is essential for us to focus on it.

Your concert is happening two days to the NRM Liberation Day, celebrating 39 years in power. Did you have that in mind when setting dates?

My focus is entirely on the concert. I rarely notice other advertisements and I am unaware of any other events this year apart from my concert, unless you want me to lie to you (chuckles).
