Mbarara gets first taste of epic Spice Takeover

Mbarara’s nightlife got a spicy upgrade over the weekend as the Spice Takeover made its bold return at Soho Terrace Bar, setting the party scene ablaze in true Captain Morgan style. The electrifying event marked the official launch of the second edition of this thrilling consumer experience—and let’s just say, it was anything but ordinary.

This wasn’t your average night out. From signature rum-based cocktails and vibrant red-themed photo booths to a lineup of top-tier DJs like DJ Tonny and DJ Red, the vibes were immaculate. Hosted by the ever-energetic MC Kartel and Jokwiz Klean, the launch event gave Mbarara’s party lovers a taste of what’s to come—and it’s looking spicier than ever.

Set to climax in July at University Inn, the Spice Takeover Mbarara Edition promises to deliver a full-blown explosion of music, flavor, and interactive experiences. A mash-up of Kampala and Mbarara’s hottest DJs and MCs will be turning tables and turning heads.

“We are bringing the bold, adventurous spirit of Captain Morgan to life this July through experiences that complement our consumers in an authentic and exciting way,” said Judie Nadekya, Captain Morgan Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries.

“Mbarara represents a vibrant and diverse consumer base for Captain Morgan and we can’t wait to spice up and evolve their experiences.”

This launch doesn’t just mark one epic event—it’s the beginning of a nationwide series. The Spice Takeover is hitting key cities with immersive brand moments, dynamic music sets, and of course, the unmistakable taste of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum.

First unveiled last year under the global Captain Morgan “Spice On” campaign, the Spice Takeover celebrates individuality, self-expression, and those who bring their own flavor of fun wherever they go.

So if you’re ready to bring the heat, mark your calendars for July and follow Captain Morgan Africa and Uganda Breweries for updates on tickets and dates. Mbarara, this is just the beginning.
